 e Ages</span>: Shrubs\, the sweet-tart syrups made from fruit\, sugar\, an
 d vinegar\, are equally versatile. They can be mixed into cocktails\, mock

 kshop\, you'll learn the basics of shrub-making\, exploring different flav

 ctices. &nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>About the Instructor</strong></p>\n<p><str
 ong>Barbara Mardis </strong>has worn a lot of hats in the business world: 
 Program Planning and Control Analyst for an aerospace company\, Office Man
 ager for a public library\, Payroll for a major golf resort\, Office Manag
 er for an elementary school that included deaf students and interpreters i
 n every classroom. But her not-so-secret passion is the garden\, inspired 
 by her grandmother&rsquo\;s garden\, and the walk-in pantry with shelves f
 ull of canned goods that looked like gleaming jewels. Barbara canned for y
 ears\, and then discovered fermentation\, which she has leaned into heavil
 y ever since.</p>\n<p><img src="https://static.libnet.info/frontend-images

 lt="" /></p>\n<p><strong>School of Ranch</strong> is a Central Oregon base
 d 501c3 nonprofit.&nbsp\; They hire experienced locals to teach practical 
 homestead skills\, live and in person. &nbsp\;Beyond teaching skills and c
 reating paying gigs\, they help strengthen our community by providing comm
 on ground for people regardless of politics\, background\, age or beliefs.
