ociety meeting will be held prior to the presentation. Light refreshments

br />Ever wonder what it was like to be a soldier on the western front of
World War II? \; Ever wonder what it was like for someone who lived in
England at the time their village was blitzed? \; Please join us as w
e \;continue our series of programs in honor of the 75th anniversary
of D-Day\, and welcome World War II veteran John Simanella and Strongsvill
e Historical Society member Sylvia Pakish as they recount their personal s
tories from the second World War. \; Mr. Simanella is a member of our
local VFW Post 3345 and flew over 30 missions as a gunner on a B-24 bomber
\, and Mrs. Pakish was a civilian living in England with her family when t
he Germans bombed their village. \; \;
Guests are invit
ed to bring artifacts that they would like to display and share with those
in attendance. \; \;Light refreshments will be provided at this f
ree event. \; All are welcome! Registration is requested.
