We're back for our fall session featuring 4 new artists! Art Explorers is a themed story time followed by an art pro ject that allows children to explore the techniques of famous artists. Eac h session will focus on one artist from history - a story time will introd uce children to the artist's life and works and provide inspiration and co ntext for the project that follows. The art project will be in the style o f our weekly artist and will include everything from collage to painting w ith different mediums to drawing with oil pastels. The focus is early art appreciation and allowing children to explore their creativity. It's the p rocess\, not the product\, that matters in Art Explorers!

Art Expl orers is an independent experience for ages 4-7. Caregivers should expect to allow children to work independently but must stay in children's sectio n for the entirety of the program. All supplies provided.

\n

Registra tion required - space is limited to 18 children per session. Application f orms will be available at the children's reference desk on Monday\, Septem ber 16. Filling out an application form is not a guarantee of acceptance & ndash\; accepted applicants will be emailed by Monday\, September 30 to co nfirm their enrollment. Priority is given to children who have not yet bee n able to attend a previous session.

It is important to note that by registering\, you are registering for a package of 4 sessions &ndash\; it is not an option to register for single sessions of the program. If dem and exceeds space limitations\, names will be drawn and those who are not selected will be added to a waitlist. The waitlist will close when registr ation for the program closes. If there are any no call/no show participant s for two sessions\, they will forfeit their registration and their slot w ill be given to another child off the waitlist.
