X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Playback is a type of improvised drama whe
 rein the actors hear a teller&rsquo\;s story and &ldquo\;playback&rdquo\;
 that story for the teller. Unlike improv wherein actors create the dialogu
 e and scene themselves\, or use creative &ldquo\;games&rdquo\; to build a
 scene\, in Playback the actors&rsquo\; role is to listen and retell the st
 ory that has been told. They often use specific &ldquo\;form&rdquo\; to re
 tell the story\; at other times they create a mini-drama from that story.
 It is a type of social drama based on listening to and honoring the teller
 &rsquo\;s words.</p>\n<p>This class will work on learning the Playback for
 ms and carefully listening to a teller&rsquo\;s story.</p>\n<p>Instructor:
  Karelisa Hartigan\, retired from UF professor of Classics\, has been doin
 g various types of improv for about 20 years. She has taken classes with B
 ay Area Theater Sports and the Playback training program with Jonathan Fox
 \, inventor of Playback.&nbsp\; She currently teaches 2 classes in improv
 at the Elder Care Senior Center and leads an improv program for the VA for
  the rehabilitation of formerly homeless or incarcerated veterans.</p>\n<p
