DESCRIPTION:Mal Barron has been composing jazz numbers since the 1970s.  I
 nspired by Brazilian melodic traditions  standard jazz repertoire  West Co
 ast  groove  fusion and chamber jazz  Barron allows himself and his fellow
  musicians to express themselves freely.  Over the past five decades  Barr
 on has played in multiple formats  including Tropical Cleveland and solo a
 s Ara Pavo  and at local institutions such as The Barking Spider and Night
 town.  The Quartet includes Bob Ventre on Guitar  John Mallet on Bass  Ala
 n Nemeth on Drums  and Barron on Saxophone & Flute.  This program will hig
 hlight work from the past ten years  including selections from his latest
