Contest Rules:

  • Open to teens in grades 6-12.
    • \n
  • Enter in one of three cate gories: Poetry\, Short Story\, or Essay/Memoir. (Submissions should not ex ceed 5\,000 words. Submissions in the Poetry category can consist of 1 &nd ash\; 3 poems.)

  • All submissions should reflect the theme of ESCA PE.

  • No school assignments.
    • \n
  • Limit of \;1 entry per person.
    • \n
  • Submission period: January 2-February 29
    • \n
  • Enter online using the link on the Teen page of our website. (Link won't be liv e until the contest begins on January 2.)

    Submissions will be judged by a panel of Fremont Librarians. A winner will be chosen for e ach category in 2 age groups: middle school (Grades 6-8) and high school ( Grades 9-12) (6 winners total). Winners will be announced by the end of Ma rch. Winning submissions will be featured on our website\, and winners wil l receive a $25 gift card of their choice.
