\nDr. Laurence Polsky received his medical doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and eventually acquired Master of Public Health from John Hopkins Universi ty. He has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in Southern Maryland since 1996. In 2012\, he became the Calvert County Health Officer. He moved in t o public health because he has a strong desire to educate members of the c ommunity\, especially the underserved\, and to provide access to needed so cial and medical resources.
