 <p>ABOUT THE BOOK: Since his election to the U.S. Senate in 2006\, Sherrod
  Brown has sat on the Senate floor at a mahogany desk with a proud history
 . In Desk 88\, he tells the story of eight of the Senators who were there 
 before him. Despite their flaws and frequent setbacks\, each made a decisi
 ve contribution to the creation of a more just America. They range from Hu
 go Black\, who helped to lift millions of American workers out of poverty\
 , to Robert F. Kennedy\, whose eyes were opened by an undernourished Missi
 ssippi child and who then spent the rest of his life afflicting the comfor
 table.</p>\n<p>ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Sherrod Brown has served as a United Stat
 es Senator from Ohio since 2006. A member of the Democratic Party\, he was
  the U.S. Representative for Ohio's 13th congressional district from 1993 
 to 2007 and the 47th Secretary of State of Ohio from 1983 to 1991. He star
 ted his political career in 1975 as an Ohio State Representative.</p>\n<p>
 ABOUT THE MODERATOR: Connie Schultz is a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer and
  the author of two books\, "Life Happens: And Other Unavoidable Truths" an
 d "...and His Lovely Wife." Her first novel\, "The Daughters of Erietown\,
