p>The Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic\, self-defe
nse tactics and techniques. The R.A.D. System is a comprehensive course fo
r women that begins with awareness\, prevention\, risk reduction and avoid
ance\, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. R.
A.D. is not a Martial Arts program. The course begins with awareness\, pre
vention\, risk reduction and avoidance\, while progressing on to the basic
s of hands-on defense training and ending with an opportunity to test skil
ls during an optional simulated attack.&nbsp\;Certified R.A.D. Instructor
who provides students with a workbook/reference manual teaches the course.
</p>\n<p>The R.A.D. Systems curriculum is taught at over 1\,400 colleges a
nd universities\, police departments\, local transit companies\, military
 bases\, women&rsquo\;s centers\, rape crisis centers\, and independents ac
ross the United States and Canada.</p>\n<p><strong><em>Because R.A.D. is a
n international alliance\, any R.A.D. graduate from any class in the U.S.
and Canada can attend another instructor&rsquo\;s class for practice\, fre
e of charge\, for the rest of her life!</em></strong></p>\nhttps://stmalib
