Taken from her home at the age of five\, Eva and her twin sister were their family's only survivors\, and only the n kept alive for the experiments of Auschwitz' "Angel of Death\," Josepf M engele. Years after the liberation of Auschwitz\, Eva Mozes married a man named Michael Kor and settled down across the world in Terre Haute\, India na. She contacted former survivors and founded a group named CANDLES\, bui lding a museum in Terre Haute\, campaigning in Washington DC\, and returni ng once a year to Auschwitz. Although not without controversy\, Eva's mess age of hope\, courage and forgiveness touched thousands of lives she encou ntered. We are honoring Mrs. Kor and her work with a discussion about the film and her life after the screening\, facilitated by members of CYPRESS.
