 s face the serious issue of balancing the Constitutional rights of individ
 uals against governments&rsquo\; need to protect public health. Join us on
  Wednesday\, June 24\, 2020 starting at 1pm CDT (2pm EDT) for a 90 minute 
 open discussion on this balancing act.</p>\n<p>Topics will include issues 
 such as legality of stay-at-home measures\; freedom of religion\, travel\,
  and association\; modifications to electoral process\; mandatory vaccine 
 requirements\; business closures\; rights of prisoners and exposure to the
  virus\, and government monitoring measures.</p>\n<p>Participants are Jaso
 n Mazzone\, Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Illinois 
 School of Law\, and Attorneys Dan McCarthy and Joe Richotte of the Law Fir
 m of Butzel Long\, who are involved in litigation in Michigan about this p
 rivate-public clash of interests so visibly illustrated by the current pan
 demic.</p>\n<p>Jason Mazzone is the Albert E Jenner\, Jr. Professor of Law
  at the University of Illinois and is the Director of the Illinois Program
  in Constitutional Theory\, History and Law. Attorneys Dan McCarthy and Jo
 e Richotte are affiliated with the law firm of Butzel Long and have extens
 ive experience in civil and criminal trial and appellate practice. They ar
 e involved in a landmark case in Michigan concerning constitutional rights
  of business owners and the state's closure measures.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<
