Get creative\, earn volunteer hours\, and contribute to an artful book recommendation list where pictures are worth a thousand words by participating in Crafty Book Recommendations! All you have to do is create an art piece or craft that represents a YA book betwe en October 1 through December 30. You could create a scene\, a collage of multiple scenes\, a representation of themes\, the setting\, characters\, or anything else that has to do with the book you choose. When you've fini shed\, take a picture of your masterpiece and email it to youngadult@carme l.lib.in.us \;along with the title of the book you are representing\, its author\, and the subject line "Crafty Book Recommendations." Submissio ns will be collected and made available to the public as a new way for rea ders to find their next great YA read.
\nFor each Crafty Book Recomm endation submitted\, you can receive 1 volunteer service hour. If you woul d like to receive credit for your volunteer hours\, please make sure you a re a member of the library's Teen Volunteer Corps before you submit your artwork.
