 r social connection for kids through fun learning activities.&nbsp\; Using
  virtual video chat\, kids are introduced to new concepts and ideas in fun
  and engaging ways.&nbsp\; Topics range from a variety of educational disc
 iplines such as science and technology\, arts\, social studies and more.</
 p>\n<p>This week we will be exploring the subject of Art from the Ontario 
 school curriculum by discussing famous self portraits in history and creat
 ing our own. For this activity\, the following material(s) will be needed:
  Drawing tools\, white paper\, mirror</p>\n<p>This program is geared towar
 ds children aged 8-12.</p>\n<p><strong>The program will be conducted over 
 the Zoom video platform.&nbsp\;For safety and attendance purposes\, please
  register for the program using your child's first name.</strong> For inst
 ructions on how to use Zoom\, please watch this <a href="https://www.youtu
 be.com/watch?v=hIkCmbvAHQQ&amp\;feature=youtu.be">video</a>. <strong>Libra
 ry staff will email the Zoom link to all participants two (2) hours before
  the program begins.</strong>&nbsp\;You do not have to have a Zoom account
  to attend this program. However\, if you do not have the software you wil
 l be prompted to download it when you click on the link provided. There is
  no charge for the download but it does take a few minutes to complete so 
 please allow time before the start of the program to do so.</p>\n<p><stron
 g>During the program please make sure there is an adult nearby to supervis
 e your child and to ensure the best possible use of internet resources\, p
 rovide technical assistance and to maintain behaviour.&nbsp\;</strong>The
