 o considers the advantages and problems associated with renewable energy\,
  a possible future for nuclear energy\, and the best science-informed poli
 cy with regard to our energy future.</p>\n<p>Robert Ehrlich is a professor
  of physics at George Mason University\, where he has chaired the departme
 nt. He began his career after receiving a Ph.D. in physics from Columbia U
 niversity in 1964. Prior to joining George Mason\, he held faculty positio
 ns at the University of Pennsylvania\, Rutgers University\, and the State 
 University of New York at New Paltz\, where he chaired the physics departm
 ent for five years. Dr. Ehrlich has authored or edited twenty books\, two 
 of his recent efforts being &ldquo\;Nine Crazy Ideas in Science\,&rdquo\; 
 and &ldquo\;Eight Preposterous Propositions\,&rdquo\; both by Princeton Un
 iversity Press. He has also authored around 100 articles on subjects such 
 as particle physics\, science education\, and nuclear arms control. He is 
 currently doing research on tachyons &mdash\; hypothetical particles that 
 travel faster than light.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Registration with an email addres
