 s to close the gender gap and inspire a new wave of Canadian female coders

  of free webinars and online events to help you get started and go further
 . We&rsquo\;ll help you learn the basics and code your first interactive p
 roject! Hackergal has launched&nbsp\;Hackergal Hub\, a free online learnin
 g portal! Some of the new features include self-paced learner lessons\, tr
 acking learner progress\, and interactive note-taking to support learning 
 virtually.</p>\n<p><strong>Intro to Code (1hr.) - Beginner&nbsp\;</strong>
 </p>\n<p>In this webinar\, learners will be introduced to the basics of te
 xt-based coding in Lynx in a fun and interactive way. Throughout this 1-ho
 ur webinar\, we&rsquo\;ll explore sample projects and we&rsquo\;ll teach s
 tudents how to execute the basic commands to help get their coding skills 
 up and started! They will be invited to create their own &lsquo\;Meet the 
 Developer&rsquo\; project as this session.</p>\n<p><strong>Creativity with
  Code&nbsp\; (1hr.) - Intermediate</strong></p>\n<p>Building on the previo
 us topic\, this webinar allows learners to have fun coding exciting featur
 es that will make projects\, stories and games interactive! Going beyond t
 he basics\, this webinar will show learners how to program turtle movement
 \, custom sounds/music\, and buttons to give your users choice over what h
 appens. Just like apps and websites\, we&rsquo\;ll explore how exploring &
 ldquo\;onclick&rdquo\; can make your ideas come to life!</p>\n<p>If you ha
