 prison reform. His early life and his opinions were not without controvers
 y. He publicly denounced the efforts of both Martin Luther King\, Jr. and 
 Malcolm X. Marshall held fast to his belief in the strength of the law\, t
 he courts\, and the U.S. Constitution believing them\, providing the only 
 sustainable solutions to racial injustice. He would later in life change c
 ourse on his law-only approach. The story of Marshall&rsquo\;s fearless\, 
 relentless pursuit for justice and his life story are full of ageless wisd
 om.&nbsp\;"The measure of a country's greatness is its ability to retain c
 ompassion in times of crisis."</p>\n<p>Dr. Bartlett is an African American
 \, a retired educator\, writer\, storyteller\, and researcher. He&nbsp\;us
