X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>This event is being held as an online meet
ing/webinar. You will be emailed login instructions approximately 24 hours
before the event.</p>\n<p>As in many American cities\, interstate constru
ction disproportionately took aim on working class and African-American co
mmunities\, displacing thousands of residents and transforming remaining n
eighborhoods from the northwest side of the city\, West Indianapolis\, Fou
ntain Square\, and the east side. As the state and city now contemplate si
gnificant changes to that half-century old highway\, the 21st-century reco
nstruction again raises many of the same issues of equity in urban interst
 ate planning.</p>\nhttps://indianapolis.libnet.info/event/4791175
