ward/Joel-Ying-.jpg" width="227" height="208" />
\n
In 2015\,&nbsp\;<
strong>Dr. Joel Ying began the journey as a storytelling performe
r.&nbsp\;He discovered
a new way to connect and touch an audience. I
n this age of information\, it is not the facts
and figures that ins
pire\, but rather it is the power of story to create emotion and move us <
br />into action. He began to work on the craft of storytelling: workshops
\, writing stories\, and
watching other tellers. Promoting storytell
ing has also become one of his passions. With Storytellers
of the Rou
nd Table\, Dr. Ying has produced showcase events\, sponsored National Tell
ers to perform
locally\, started a local guild\, and of course perfo
rm!
\n
Dr. Ying now performs regularly with an eclectic collection of
world folk tales and touching personal stories.
He has performed at
the Florida Storytelling Festival\, Stone Soup Festival New Voice in Sout
h Carolina\,
Timpanogos Timp Tell Contest in Utah\, and to just abou
t anyone that will listen. He teaches &ldquo\;Storytelling as Healing&rdqu
o\;
at Florida Gulf Coast University and online workshops. Story is t
he gift that gives back when it is shared.
\n
Dr. Ying is a&nbsp\;Phy
sician-Educator-Storyteller.
\nhttps://broward.libnet.info/event/479605
