In this workshop\, we will explore reading and writing poetry as it relates to the particular\, the mundane\, and th e peculiarly matter of fact. We will look at such approaches as launching points and how they can offer accessibility and reliability folks may not otherwise expect from poetry. \;

Mike Chaulk is the author of Night Lunch (Gordon Hill Press\, Sprin g 2020) a book about his time working as a seaman in Nunatsiavut and Labra dor. His work has appeared in Best Canadian Poetry 2018\, Arc Poetry Magaz ine\, The Malahat Review\, The Puritan\, PRISIM: International\, and filli ng station\, among other places. \; He is a member of the Vocamus Writers Community
