Mary Mannix\, Maryland Room Manager at Fre derick County Public Libraries in Frederick\, Maryland\, will discuss the on-line resources that her patrons and volunteers find to be the most usef ul for their Maryland family history research\, especially during these pa ndemic times when most institutions are closed to the public.
\nMary Mannix graduated from Hood College with a degree in history and political science and went on to earn a master&rsquo\;s degree in American history at University of Delaware\, as well as a certificate in museum studies. Sh e later graduated from University of Maryland College Park with a master&r squo\;s degree in library science. Mary received an award from the History Section of the Reference and User Services Association\, a division of th e American Library Association\, in 2011\, for her contributions to histor ical and genealogical librarianship. She was honored in 2015 by the Sergea nt Lawrence Everhart Chapter of the Maryland Society of Sons of the Americ an Revolution in Frederick for her service to lineage associations. Mary h as been instrumental in contributing digital collections\, including the T homas Johnson Letters\, to the Digital Maryland project. She has served as vice chair and meetings coordinator for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archive s Conference\, as well as the Maryland state representative to the group.< /p>\n
