 s allowed for the democratization of expression &ndash\; everyone and anyo
 ne can be a publisher online and get their message out to a broad audience
 . This has its benefits and its drawbacks. In this session we will discuss
  some of the legal issues around online expression including the law of de
 famation\, how some technology companies are exploring new ways to regulat
 e and moderate content and new government plans to address this issue.<br 
 /><br />This will be a 45 minute presentation + 15 minute Q&amp\;A.</p>\n<

 ntal freedoms program at the Canadian Civil Liberties Association. Cara wa
 s called to the Ontario bar in 2005. She has a political science degree fr
 om McGill University and law degrees from Osgoode Hall Law School (LL.B.) 
 and New York University (LL.M.). Her work with CCLA involves providing leg
 al opinions and research\, coordinating litigation and interventions\, rep
 resenting CCLA before the courts\, preparing submissions to legislative bo
