\nIn this presentation she will s hare a variety of her nature work\, from straight photography with minimal edits\, to several examples of imagery that go beyond the capture\, from digital enhancements using apps\, to mixed media work\, and alternative/hi storic process photography.
\nPresenter Parvathi Kumar was born and raised in eastern Canada\, initiated as a teen in manual SLR film \;ph otography by her mother\, and gained valuable darkroom experience in high school. She has otherwise been largely self-taught\, following her photo p assion for over three decades\, and as an \;independent freelance prof essional photographer in the last ten years. Despite earning two technical degrees and working in IT software development for many years\, she maint ained her passion for creating photographically. Her work includes fine ar t photography\, commercial photography (portraits &\; events)\, graphic design and photo book design. She exhibits her work extensively throughou t NJ\, other states and across Europe\, in both solo and group shows\, hav ing earned awards and recognition. \;She&rsquo\;s also a certified yog a teacher\, advanced classical guitarist\, and South Indian Classical Danc er. She lives with her husband and two teen sons in New Jersey. \;
