 /strong><br />Lara is a professional gardener who has been teaching and le
 arning about growing food in small spaces since 2003. Her speciality is co
 ntainers and rooftop gardens. Lara&rsquo\;s first self-published book\, An
  Illustrated Guide to Growing Food on Your Balcony sold over 12\,000 copie
 s. Her recent book Grow Without A Garden: 101 Plants for Containers is a c
 omprehensive reference for urban growers. For 9 years she coordinated the 
 first intensive green roof atop a Community Health Centre in Ontario\, whe
 re she established productive food gardens and award-winning community pro
 grams. Lara is also a visual artist who works in illustration and printmak
 ing. Community engagement is central to both her gardening and her art pra
 ctice. Lara co-founded Miinikaan Innovation &amp\; Design (<a href="http:/
 /www.miinikaan.com">www.miinikaan.com</a>) in 2019.</p>\n<p><img src="http
