 nnial. What is a trailblazer\, you might ask? A trailblazer is someone who
  has impacted our culture through major events\, leadership\, innovation a
 nd more! In April\, we'll highlight the life and career of artist Thomas H
 art Benton.</p>\n<p>Viewing the mural "A Social History of the State of Mi
 ssouri" is one of the most exciting parts of a visit to our state&rsquo\;s
  Capitol. Painted by Benton in 1936\, the mural tells the story of our sta
 te from its pioneer beginnings to the industrial 20th century. Dr. Sarah J
 ones\, art historian and museum interpreter\, will discuss Benton&rsquo\;s
  life and career including the story of his Missouri mural and his role in
  the rise of American Regionalism.</p>\n<p>Ages 10-adult. <a href="https:/
