DESCRIPTION:This is a walk and talk workshop\, incorporating a walk around
  the Geelong City Centre to explore aspects of writing urban environments.

 p>\n<p>&bull\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; bring scenes and settings to life in y
 our novel\, poem\, memoir or essay</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>&ldquo\;A walk is only
  a step away from a story&rdquo\; - Robert MacFarlane</p>\n<p>This present
 ation will introduce participants to the literary and artistic practice of
  psychogeography and encourage them to use these concepts in their own wri
 ting. Participants will hone their eyes to old signage\, details of archit
 ecture\, traces of the past\, and the poetry of the everyday. Inspired by 
 the Situationists\, we will investigate how ordinary urban places provide 
 rich source material. Whether you write fiction\, non-fiction\, poetry or 
 memoir\, this event will stimulate ideas. Includes a workshop\, writing ti
 me and a wander. Afterwards\, participants will receive personalised feedb
 ack on one piece of writing from Nick.</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;A set of links for f
 urther reading will be provided.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><strong><em>Please note:
