Members of the Women&rsquo\;s Army Corps ( WACs) were the first women other than nurses to serve overseas in World Wa r II. Cyndee Schaffer&rsquo\;s mother\, Mollie Weinstein Schaffer\, was on e of them. \;Cyndee Schaffer\, co-author of Mollie's War\, discusses w omen in the military during WWII and in particular\, her mother&rsquo\;s e xperiences as a member of the Women&rsquo\;s Army Corps by taking you on a journey from inspiration to publication. Using excerpts from Mollie&rsquo \;s letters written home\, Cyndee provides a romantic yet frightful glimps e into the life of a woman in uniform during this crucial time in history. She traces the footsteps of her mother and her fellow WACs who followed t he soldiers stationed in Europe from London to Normandy to Paris to Versai lles and finally to Frankfurt. She also discusses the writing adventure fr om working with her mother on her memoir and learning about the WACs to fi nding a traditional publisher.
