Join the Tenement Museum for a conversatio n about how sources and records can tell us stories about migration and fa mily history. The Tenement Museum researches and interprets the history of real families who lived in tenements at 97 and 103 Orchard Street on Manh attan&rsquo\;s Lower East Side. On this program\, Senior Director of Curat orial Affairs David Favaloro will share two family stories of migration th rough the records the museum uncovered over time. Using census records\, c ourt documents\, and oral histories\, you&rsquo\;ll hear about the stories we found in the archives\, and what surprises we&rsquo\;ve discovered alo ng the way.
\nPresented by David Favaloro . David is Senior Director of Curatorial Affairs and Hebrew Technical Institute Research Fellow at t he Lower East Side Tenement Museum. He is jointly responsible for interpre ting the history of the tenements at 97 and 103 Orchard Street\, with an e mphasis on research and exhibit development. He also oversees the museum&r squo\;s preservation\, conservation\, and collections management programs. David has been with the Tenement Museum since 2004. He holds a Master of Arts in American History and an Advanced Certificate in Public History fro m the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
