 ing process with Teresa Baer\, managing editor of the Indiana Historical S
 ociety Press. This workshop will cover self-publishing as well as traditio
 nal publishing in books and periodicals. Baer will tell how to locate oppo
 rtunities for publication in print and online and how to match your work t
 o publishers&rsquo\; audiences. Topics will also include the submissions p
 rocess\, standard publishing contracts\, and marketing your work.</p>\n<p>
 Presented by M. Teresa Baer. A public historian\, author\, and editor\, M.
  Teresa Baer publishes the award-winning journal\, The Hoosier Genealogist
 : Connections and its counterpart\, Online Connections (<a href="https://i
 ndianahistory.org/research/family-history/family-history-online-resources/
 ">https://indianahistory.org/research/family-history/family-history-online
 -resources/</a>). She is also editor in charge of books for schools and bo
 oks on immigration and ethnic history among others at the IHS Press. Baer 
 authored the booklet Indianapolis: A City of Immigrants (IHS Press\, 2012)
 \, which\, through generous donations\, has been distributed to schools\, 
 cultural organizations\, and other groups throughout central Indiana. She 
 also compiled and edited (with Geneil Breeze) the award-winning book Findi
 ng Indiana Ancestors: A Guide to Historical Research (IHS Press\, 2007)\; 
 and has published numerous book chapters and magazine articles on both his
 torical and genealogical topics. Her latest\, &ldquo\;History at the Cross
 roads: What the Combined Study of Genealogy\, History\, Education\, and Co
 mmunication Can Teach Us\,&rdquo\; was published in the fall 2020 issue of
  the Journal of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Baer has a bachelor&rsquo\;s de
 gree focusing on global history\, a certificate in international studies\,
  and a master&rsquo\;s degree in comparative history from Indiana Universi
