Wwise is an audio middleware program that interfaces with game engines. Similar to a Digital Audio Workstation\, wit h special tools and interfaces\, Wwise allows sound designers and musician s to create interactive soundscapes with familiar tools and workflows with out the need to learn extensive coding or game engine operations.
\nIn this two-day workshop\, we'll demonstrate a range of functionality from basic to advanced. When completed participants should gain an understandi ng of the audio middleware role and how it can be used for creative purpos es not possible in linear media such as film.
\nRecommended Audience: Adult
\nRecommended Prerequisite: Familiarity with at least one DAW (such as Pro Tools\, Ableton or REAPER )\, Game Engine (such as Unreal or Unity)\, or both.
