Introducing May's Boxed Book Society theme : romance! On the first of the month\, we'll drop a video on our Facebook and YouTube pages that introduces the month's theme and some great books y ou can read on theme. Registrants will receive one of the books in a book box that also contains delightful treats! The book box\, and all its conte nts\, is yours to keep. After you register\, you can drop by the library a ny time during open hours to pick up your book box in preparation for the meeting. We'll meet in person at the library and simultaneously on Zoom on May 24th at 5pm to chat about books! Please join us in the venue that is most comfortable for you. Also note May's meeting will not be on the last Monday of the month due to the Memorial Day holiday. If you register for t he program and receive a book box\, meeting attendance is required.
\n< p>The best part is\, there's no pressure to read the book before the meeti ng! We know that teens already have homework\, deadlines and other pressur es everyday. So\, if you read that month's book\, great! Come chat about i t. If you didn't get to the book before the meeting\, come hang out with u s anyway! We can talk about a book you loved that you recently read or one you hated that you read five years ago. This program is a pressure-free t ime to hang out and chat about books!\nMay's book box will contain a copy of "A Very Large Expanse of Sea" \;by Tahereh Mafi\, along with other treats. This program is open to teens in grades 7&ndash\;12. Regist ration opens on May 1st at 9am.
