Explore self-expression and important conv ersation through a workshop based in Augusto Boal's Theatre of the Oppress ed. Augusto Boal\, a theater practitioner and political activist\, created Theatre of the Oppressed believing that theatre is a communication and pr oblem-solving tool. Expression through art is a universal language! Boal a lso believe that Theater of the Oppressed can be used by actors and non-ac tors alike. In this workshop activities will oscillate between acting exer cises\, writing activities\, and open discussion. During these four weeks we will use Theatre of the Oppressed as a tool for opening our creative mi nds as well as to discuss important issues that bring us together as human \, instead of pull us apart because of our differences.
\nA meeting link will be emailed to registered participants approximately one hour pri or to the start of the program. Staff will be available for help with conn ecting to Zoom and technical issues beginning 15 minutes prior to the prog ram. You will need a device with audio and/or video and an internet connec tion to join.
