\nTimothy N. Pinnick is a book author\, article writer\, a nd national speaker with more than 35 years overall research experience\, including all the major U.S. repositories. In 2019\, Tim became the coordi nator and facilitator of a landmark workshop course entitled &ldquo\;Build ing an African American Research Toolbox&rdquo\; for the Institute of Gene alogy &\; Historical Research (IGHR). He has presented papers at large history conferences including the Association for the Study of African Ame rican Life and History conference in 2019\, along with speaking at the Fed eration of Genealogical Society Conferences\, Ohio Genealogical Society An nual Conferences\, and much more. Recently\, Timothy worked with the New H anover County Remembrance Project to shed light on the stories of the vict ims of the 1898 Wilmington Coup in North Carolina and track down the livin g descendants.
