 cestors through the paper trail. Presented by Phillip Nicholas.&nbsp\;</p>
 \n<p>Phillip is a genealogy expert who specializes in Jamaican\, Barbadian
 \, and British Genealogy.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;He presented a Jamaican genealogy p
 rogram for the Frederick County Public Library (FCPL) in April 2021 where 
 he discussed the complexity of slavery.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;In addition\, he is a
  Library and Information Science grad student at the University of Marylan
 d\, College Park and has experience processing and analyzing records in li
 braries and archives.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Phillip earned his Master of Arts in Co
 mparative &amp\; Transnational History from the College of William &amp\; 
 Mary and wrote his thesis about the cultural transformations of slaves fro
 m the Gold Coast to Jamaica in the 18th&nbsp\;century.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;With h
 is background in history\, he knows the value of understanding the histori
 cal context of an event and location when conducting genealogy.</p>\n<p>Re
