\;Fairest is a memoir about a preco cious boy with albinism\, a "sun child" from a rural Philippine village\, who would grow up to become a woman in America.
\nMeredith T alusan (she/they) is an award-winning journalist and author who h as written for The Guardian\, The New York Times\, The Atlantic\, The Nati on\, WIRED\, SELF\, and Condé\; Nast Traveler\, among many other pub lications\, and has contributed to several essay and fiction collections. She has received awards from GLAAD\, The Society of Professional Journalis ts\, and the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association. She is also the founding executive editor of them\, Condé\; Nast&rsquo\;s LGBTQ + digital platform\, where she is currently contributing editor.

The Be the Change ser ies takes place in conjunction with such commemorations as Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month\, Native American Heritage Month\, Black History Month\, A rmenian Genocide Remembrance\, Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritag e Month\, and LGBTQ+ Pride. The series will also examine the one-year anni versary of the 2020 racial justice protests and 100-year anniversary of th e Tulsa Race Massacre. The series will include virtual lectures\, exhibits \, and online programming from authors\, curators\, and historians.
