 when war broke out\, and how did they integrate into America once the war 
 was won?&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Join us for a talk by Dr. Rebecca Brannon. Rebecca
  Brannon is an associate professor of early American history at James Madi
 son University.&nbsp\; She received her PhD from the University of Michiga
 n.&nbsp\; Her first book\,&nbsp\;<a href="https://alxndria.ent.sirsi.net/c

 &nbsp\; It won the 2016 George C. Rogers Jr. Award for the best book of th
 e year in South Carolina history.&nbsp\; The&nbsp\;Journal of the American
  Revolution&nbsp\;also named it to their 100 Best Books on the American Re
 volution list.&nbsp\; She has also co-edited a collection of essays entitl
 ed&nbsp\;<a href="https://alxndria.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/home/search/
