What is it like to feel invisible? Through out the pandemic\, our healthcare system has relied on the work of Persona l Support Workers (PSWs) to maintain a high level of personal care for pat ients\, but some PSWs describe feeling invisible\, and that their jobs wer e precarious. Those working in this field share a deep love for their care work\, and grief when experiencing loss during a time when &ldquo\;person al&rdquo\; care has been limited by Personal Protective Equipment and phys ical distancing. This panel discussion will explore the experience of PSWs during the pandemic\, using photovoice images\, and narrative interviews.

\nDr Trish Van Katwyk: A major focus of my work is exploring the ways in which community immersion and artistic expression can activat e healthy communities and many important ways of knowing. I like to suppor t and participate in collaborations that can critique structures that can hold us back and create obstacles to positive\, holistic\, and collective health. In other words\, I like to work with others to make change in the name of social justice.
\nVeen Wong: I am a social worker with a pas sion for research and have worked in the health and social service sectors for over a decade. I completed my Master of Social Work at the University of Waterloo with a focus on mental health promotion and arts-based resear ch. My research interests include health equity\, arts-based methodology a nd technology.
\nTyheriah Philbert : I graduated from the Bachelor o f Applied Sciences in Psychology program at the University of Guelph-Humbe r\, and am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Waterloo. \; \;I have a wealth of experience working with chil dren\, families\, and youth from diverse communities across the City of To ronto. I combine my experience\, education\, creativity\, and sense of hum or with intersectional and critical social approaches to community engagem ent and research.
