This Thursday\, Melody's Piano Studio will be offering an opportunity at the library for kids with special needs or disabilities to explore music through singing\, movement\, rhythm\, and cr eativity.

Melody is trained in teaching piano to students with dis abilities through Notable Music Education. Her philosophy is to presume co mpetence. During this 60-minute class\, kids (along with their parents) wi ll listen for different kinds of sounds\, explore feeling (and performing) rhythm in songs\, create a collaborative composition\, and gain exposure to the structure of the piano keys. There will be plenty of opportunity fo r movement\, and a sensory corner will be available.
