\nApril Lynne Earle is a member of the Library Faculty at Farmingdale State College\, a college of technology in the State University of New York (SU NY) system. In addition to her primary role as the cataloger\, she provide s reference service and information literacy instruction. She received bot h her Masters in Library Science and Master of Arts in Public History from St. John&rsquo\;s University\; where she now teaches their Library Scienc e course on Genealogical Sources &\; Services. With over 30 years of pe rsonal genealogy research experience\, her real joy is helping others disc over their family history. She hopes her work helps people connect to the past in a more personal way through the stories of those who have gone bef ore us.
