Vera Kurian is a writer and scientist who& nbsp\;was born and raised in the mid-Atlantic region before stints in NYC and LA returned her to her rightful home of Washington\, DC\, where she&rs quo\;s lived for most of her adult life. She has a PhD in Social Psycholog y and studied intergroup relations\, ideology\, and quantitative methods. She blogs irregularly about writing\, horror movies\, and pop culture/terr ible TV and enjoys existentialism and puppies. In her debut thriller\,&nbs p\;Never Saw Me Coming\, \;Chloe is one of seven students at her DC-based college who are part of an unusual clinical study of psychopa ths&mdash\;students like herself who lack empathy and can't comprehend emo tions like fear or guilt. \;When one of the other students in the stud y is found murdered in the psychology building\, a dangerous game of cat a nd mouse begins\, and Chloe goes from hunter to prey.
