The Summit Academy Akron-Secondary High Sc hool \;Steel Drum Army \;is made up of students from 9th grade to 12th grade with a wide variety of learning disabilities\, autism\, and oth er challenges.

This school specializes in helping all of our stude nts learn and grow into wonderful young adults in a warm and caring enviro nment.

Steven Komlody\, Steel Band Director\, has been with Summit Academy for three years teaching steel drums and multi-percussion as a wa y for students to express their emotions in a positive way\, and with a wi de variety of music that they can connect to\, ranging from island socas t o pop songs.

The steel drum band has performed all over Akron\, sh aring their talents with the community and providing entertainment that wi ll leave you clapping and smiling!
