Join us for this virtual edition of Commun ity Connections. We will learn about a slice of United States and radio hi story with radio historian Steve Darnall. World War II was the first war i n history to receive almost continuous coverage on radio. The presentation examines how radio rose to the challenge of life during wartime\, with so unds clips from news broadcasts\, presidential speeches\, entertainment sh ows\, programs designed to boost morale (both at home and among the armed forces) and more!

Steve Darnall is the host of the weekly radio sh ow Those Were the Days and the publisher of Nostalgia Digest\, both of whi ch are devoted to chronicling the "Golden Age" of entertainment. His writi ng credits include Marvel and DC Comics\, the Chicago Tribune and the Nati onal Radio Hall of Fame.
