  science of cranberries using books\, videos\, and hands-on activities. If
  you'd like to participate in the science activities\, here's what you'll 
 need:&nbsp\;</p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 10 fresh cranberries for each learner
  (sold in one pound bags in the produce department of grocery stores in th
 e fall. Frozen cranberries are not recommended. Use the rest of the cranbe
 rries to make a recipe!)</li>\n<li>A plastic knife (or kitchen knife - to 
 be used by an adult)</li>\n<li>A printout of the activity guide\, which wi
 ll be available at spokanelibrary.org before the event</li>\n<li>A pencil 
 or pen\, and coloring supplies</li>\n<li>A meter stick or yardstick (optio
