 uch of America&rsquo\;s rich history is being lost to time. In the South\,
  vast amounts of African-American grave sites and burial grounds for ensla
 ved persons have been disappearing over the years. In Virginia alone\, sto
 ries of thousands at rest could vanish from history altogether if these lo
 cations are not restored. Those with personal connections to these burial 
 sites have recently begun to uncover and maintain locations across the sta
 te. However\, there is much work to be done in order to preserve this part
  of America&rsquo\;s history. Unmarked not only explores these untold stor
 ies of the past but also the efforts underway to preserve them.</p>\n<p>Ab
 out Chris Haley</p>\n<p>As Director of both the Study of the Legacy of Sla
 very in Maryland at the Maryland State Archives Research Department and th
 e Utopia Film Festival in Greenbelt\, Maryland\, Mr. Haley has served on m
 any prestigious boards in the world of African American genealogy as well 
 as in the Arts. They include the Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Foundation\, Histo
 ric London Town Foundation\, Jake Savage Foundation\, Annapolis Arts Allia
 nce Foundation and the Annapolis Film Festival among others. Chris is well
  respected as a speaker at numerous venues throughout the United States wh
 ere he has spoken on themes such as African American history\, self-empowe
 rment and genealogy. He earned his B.A in English\, and Drama minor at The
  University of Maryland - College Park\, and resides in Landover\, Marylan
 d.</p>\n<p>Freedom&nbsp\;Stories&nbsp\;discovers the histories\, stories\,
  names\, and places where freedom from enslavement&nbsp\;and oppression be
 gan in Prince George&rsquo\;s County.&nbsp\;Through dialogue facilitated b
 y programs\,&nbsp\;Freedom&nbsp\;Stories&nbsp\;strives to connect legacy t
 o present day&nbsp\;Prince George&rsquo\;s&nbsp\;families&nbsp\;and&nbsp\;
 provide insight into the determination and resilience of Blacks living in 
 Prince George&rsquo\;s County&nbsp\;in&nbsp\;the 1700&rsquo\;s. We explore
  history to create a more just and equitable present experience.&nbsp\;&nb
 sp\; Co-presented with Joe&rsquo\;s Movement Emporium\, Prince George&rsqu
 o\;s Community College Center for Performing Arts\, Prince George&rsquo\;s
  County Historical Society\, and Prince George&rsquo\;s County Office of H
