X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Refuge Canada was created by the Canadian
Museum of Immigration at Pier 2.</p>\n<p>Refugees face fear\, shattered li
ves\, and often dangerous voyages in search of refuge. Canada has provided
refuge for many over the years. However\, over the course of the twentiet
h century\, Canada has had a mixed record in welcoming refugees\, reacting
generously to some while overlooking others. Refuge Canada provides the c
ontext for Canada&rsquo\;s place in the global refugee crisis and brings t
o light the challenges faced by refugees in Canada.</p>\n<p>This traveling
exhibit is for K-3 and Gr. 4-8 age groups.&nbsp\; The K-3 sessions will b
e focused on identity and belonging\, while gr. 4-8 sessions will focus on
myths\, stereotypes and historical Canadian responses to refugees.</p>\n<
 p>Please <strong>complete the&nbsp\;Ontario COVID-19 self-assessment scree
ning</strong>&nbsp\;before attending the program\, thank you! Please remem
ber that <strong>all participants ages 2 and up must wear a mask</strong>
throughout the program and while visiting the library. You will be asked t
 o check-in on your arrival.</p>\nhttps://kfpl.libnet.info/event/5695715
