Refuge Canada was created by the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 2.

Refugees face fear\, shattered li ves\, and often dangerous voyages in search of refuge. Canada has provided refuge for many over the years. However\, over the course of the twentiet h century\, Canada has had a mixed record in welcoming refugees\, reacting generously to some while overlooking others. Refuge Canada provides the c ontext for Canada&rsquo\;s place in the global refugee crisis and brings t o light the challenges faced by refugees in Canada.

This traveling exhibit is for K-3 and Gr. 4-8 age groups. \; The K-3 sessions will b e focused on identity and belonging\, while gr. 4-8 sessions will focus on myths\, stereotypes and historical Canadian responses to refugees.
