 se Bennett-Coverley Heritage Council</a> (LBHC).&nbsp\; The workshop will 
 be held on Saturday\, November 13\, 2021\, 11am &ndash\; 5:30pm.</p>\n<p>T
 he focus of the clinic will be Memoir Writing\, with one hour dedicated to
  Performance Poetry. The Writers Clinic will be taught by two outstanding 
 Florida based Caribbean writers&ndash\; Christine Craig\, poet and short s
 tory writer\, and Malachi Smith performance poet. The curriculum will incl
 ude &ndash\; developing your own voice\, finding the key themes\, using di
 alogue to illumine character\, setting\, conflict and point of view. Parti
 cipants completing the workshop will be awarded certificates.</p>\n<p>Memo
 ir writing is challenging. It is about discovery\, authenticity and claimi
 ng your truth while developing your story-telling skills. Participants at 
 previous Heritage Council writers clinics have given enthusiastic feedback
 : <em>Presenters were knowledgeable\, creative\, kind and helpful\; I enjo
 yed the hands-on aspect and opportunity to share\; excellent &ndash\; deli
 very was clear and provided a good basis to grow\; good format\; I learned
  so much.</em></p>\n<p>The workshop is presented by the <a href="https://w
 ww.louisebennettheritage.com/">Louise Bennett-Coverley Heritage Council</a
 > in partnership with the West Regional Library\, Friends of the West Regi
 onal Library and sponsored by the Broward County Cultural Division.</p>\n<
 p><strong>Registration is required as room capacity is limited to ensure c
 ompliance with social distancing guidelines</strong></p>\n<p>Indoor\, in-p
 erson programs will be contingent on Centers for Disease Control benchmark
  and guidance for low COVID-19 infection rates.</p>\n<p>High rates of infe
 ction will necessitate cancellation of indoor\, in-person programs.</p>\n<
