Join author and translator Kate Briggs as she reads from her work and answers audience questions. \;
\nKat e Briggs is a writer\, educator and French-to-English translator. She is c urrently working on "The Long Form"\, a book about co-living\, the novel a nd enrhythment\, is forthcoming with Fitzcarraldo Editions\; as well as a translation of Hé\;lè\;ne Bessette's first novel\, "Lili pleur e". \;Previous translations include two volumes of Roland Barthes's le cture notes: "How to Live Together" and "The Preparation of the Novel"\,&n bsp\;both published by Columbia University Press. She is the author of "Th is Little Art" (Fitzcarraldo Editions\, 2017)\, a long essay on the practi ce of translation\, and the 2021 recipient of a Windham-Campbell prize for nonfiction. She lives and works in Rotterdam\, NL\, where she runs a coll ective reading\, writing and publishing initiative called Short Pieces Tha t Move! \;
