Genealogical Lecturer. \; Her focuses are Maryland and military recor
ds at the National Archives. She has published articles in the NGS Magazin
e\, APG Magazine\, SAR Magazine\, and the Maryland Genealogical Society Jo
urnal and is co-author of the recently released NGS Research in the States
series book on Maryland. She regularly speaks at national conferences and
has been an instructor at the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsbur
gh (GRIP) and the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG). She is a gradua
te and former mentor of the ProGen Study Group and served as the ProGen Ad
ministrator from 2015&ndash\;2020. She is the Executive Director of the Bo
ard for Certification of Genealogists®\; and Director of the Genealogic
al Institute on Federal Records (Gen-Fed) in Washington\, D.C.
