 st films have included "Moonlight\," "Tomboy\," and "Reaching for the Moon
 ."</p>\n<p>This December for&nbsp\;<a href="https://www.hiv.gov/events/awa
 reness-days/world-aids-day#:~:text=Twitter-\,December%201\,was%20first%20o
 bserved%20in%201988.">#WorldAIDSDay\,</a> we'll be watching the Oscar-winn
 ing documentary\, "<a href="https://dclibrary.kanopy.com/video/common-thre
 ads">Common Threads: Stories from the Quilt</a>." The story of the AIDS Me
 morial Quilt established by the San Francisco NAMES Project Foundation in 
 1987 to commemorate the lives lost to AIDS. From the thousands memorialize
 d in the quilt\, celebrate their unique personalities and achievements\, a
 nd interwoven personal histories with a chronology of the epidemic's devel
 opment and the negligence of the government.</p>\n<p>Note: For these event
