Robin Preiss Glasser wore tiaras and tutus when she danced with the Pennsylvania Ballet. Now she happily spends her days in jeans\, drawing. She has illustrated many acclaimed picture books\ , including the bestselling Fancy Nancy series and won a Children &rsquo\;s Choice Award for Best Illustrator of the Year for Fancy Nanc y and the Mermaid Ballet. She has returned to her ballet roots with h er latest book Grand Jeté\; and Me by former prima ballerin a Allegra Kent.
\nAs part of this special event\, Robin Preiss Glass er has generously donated a signed and numbered fine art giclee print from her new book\, Grand Jeté\; and Me\, to Ascension Parish Library wh ich will be displayed at our Gonzales location. Additionally\, she has don ated a signed and numbered test print giclee of the same image which the l ibrary will be giving away in a public drawing. Entrants must be an Ascens ion Parish resident between the ages of 0&ndash\;18 years and submit a wri tten or drawn response to Robin Preiss Glasser about a time in their life when an adult shared something that inspired them or any other autobiograp hical defining moment. Submissions will be accepted at all locations from December 1 through January 10 and the winner will be announced in mid-Janu ary.
