 hundreds of acres of parkland -- Rock Creek Park\, Tregaron\, Rosedale\, a
 nd more -- provides unparalleled opportunities for urban residents to enjo
 y nature and wildlife in close proximity. Learn from neighborhood experts 
 how climate change and urban development have affected ecology in our loca
 l gardens and wildlife.</p>\n<p>Tamara Belt is an award-winning landscape 
 designer and environmentalist who designs aesthetically-pleasing sustainab
 le gardens in the DC metro area. She is the founder of Hawthorne Garden De
 sign LLC and serves as the Landscape Chair and Vice-Chair of the Board of 
 the Tregaron Conservancy.</p>\n<p>Tamara received a Ph.D. in economics fro
 m the London School of Economics and previously worked as an environmental
  economist at the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank\, whe
 re she focused on projects in the &ldquo\;green&rdquo\; sector-- including
  afforestation\, biodiversity conservation and sustainable agriculture pro
 jects. Subsequently she completed the landscape design program at George W
 ashington University in 2006.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Erin Gleeson is a hobby beeke
 eper who keeps an apiary of about 20 hives at the Swiss Embassy in Woodley
  Park in Washington with her friend Sean Kennedy. Working together as &ldq
 uo\;Bee Curious LLC&rdquo\;\, Erin and Sean catch swarms across DC\, rescu
 e hives from rooftops\, remove bees from walls\, and spread the word about
  what anyone with a patch of soil can do to support our tiny friends and t
 heir native cousins. During non-beekeeping hours\, Erin works with family 
 forest owners on sustainable forest management toward climate and conserva
 tion goals. She holds degrees&nbsp\;in geosciences and climate science and
  is a Master Naturalist. Tamara Belt lives in Cleveland Park. Until recent
 ly\, Erin Gleeson lived in Woodley Park.</p>\n<p>The Tuesday Talks series
